Case Study: Several members of the Peak team led eleven public meetings to gather community input to inform the Whatcom County Comprehensive Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Plan update. This update was successfully adopted and included a robust community engagement effort.

Impact: Public input and sentiment from multiple meetings held around the County provided valuable information which helps determine future park master planning, facility design, and capital project priorities. A robust public input process also supported successful future grant preparation, long range strategic policy planning, and regulatory compliance.
