Client: City of Bellingham Parks and Recreation

Case Study: Peak is facilitating the meetings of the Steering Committee in developing the Chuckanut Community Forest Master Plan addressing priorities and strategies for public use and protection of the forest, trails, and open space. Peak helped to develop a community survey to assess current and future uses and development of the space for future generations. We are summarizing community input which will ultimately be used in the draft plan for this unique community amenity.

Impact: Peak’s facilitation allowed city staff to participate and inform the process with an experienced facilitator keeping meetings on time and on task. Facilitation was focused, inclusive, respectful, and productive. The resulting Master Plan will be a dynamic, long-lasting plan that will set priorities and strategies to guide the future of the forest, trails, and open spaces the community loves.
