Case Study: Anacortes Marina facilities improvement project is on an 8-year project timeline from 2018-2026 to remove all creosote pilings, replace all docks with open slips, install a new steel marina breakwater, and change ramps/gangways to decrease steepness and increase safety. Peak’s part in this process has been to provide water quality monitoring during times of marine soil disturbance.

Impact: Protection of water quality during the marina improvement project and compliance with regulatory requirements protecting fish and habitat. The redevelopment of the marina infrastructure will remove creosote contamination and provide a more environmentally friendly marina.
