Client: Whatcom Transportation Authority, Bellingham WA

Case Study: With project partner, Gradient Xergy, our team reviewed WTA’s challenges related to fleet electrification and options for using other low-carbon fuels and technologies. According to its WTA 2040 Long Range Plan, Whatcom Transportation Authority is working towards electrification by 2040 with a bus fleet that produces no planet-warming emissions. With this net zero future planned, WTA’s four electric buses are a start with eight more in the works and the eventual goal to transition the entire 63-bus fleet to fully zero-emission vehicles.

Impact: Our team helped prepare the director and staff for discussions on these topics and approaches with the WTA board. WTA is dedicated to reducing its carbon footprint dramatically over the next 10 years and we are happy to help them get there.
