Case Study: Several members of the Peak team planned and led eleven public meetings to gather community input to inform the Whatcom County Comprehensive Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Plan update. This update was successfully adopted and included a robust community engagement effort. eak assisted us in facilitating community meetings for our Parks, Recreation, and Open Space planning and for preparation of environmental assessments on park development projects.

Impact: Public input and sentiment from multiple meetings held around the County provided valuable information that helps determine future park master planning, facility design, and capital project priorities. A robust public input process also supported successful future grant preparation, long-range strategic policy planning, and regulatory compliance.
