Client: City of Blaine, WA
Case Study: Peak facilitated a Blaine City Council retreat focused on enhancing community communication and engagement and established priorities for the coming year. Project partner and strategic communications firm, Shew Design, informed the discussion by presenting effective approaches to social media engagement.
Impact: Peak’s strategic facilitation resulted in the Council identifying priorities for city engagement. Our facilitation used a hybrid group decision model designed for open sharing of ideas followed by an effective method for identifying priorities, actions, and tasks. The interviews of each City Council member ahead of the planning retreat established rapport and informed the retreat goals and objectives.
Testimonial: “The City of Blaine appreciates the meeting facilitation services David Roberts from Peak provided at the City Council’s retreat. Facilitation was through, thoughtful, and helpful in determining priorities for the upcoming year. Facilitation included interviews with each Council member beforehand which built rapport and provided a foundation from which to establish common goals and Council priorities. The retreat was well organized, respectful to everyone’s time, and enjoyable. I would recommend Peak and David Roberts for facilitation needs and retreats.” David Wilbrecht, City of Blaine, City Manager
